Inspiring Young Minds

Huskies for Hoops

Join us in creating a brighter future for elementary school children through the game of basketball.

Our Mission

Huskies for Hoops is an emerging nonprofit
organization formed by Northeastern
students that seek to connect with the local
youth of Boston to build impactful relationships/skills that
nurture confidence, character, and
community—both on and off the court.

Our Program

We aim to partner with elementary/middle schools in the Boston area, formulate a specialized 7-9 week basketball program, and develop their interpersonal and basketball skills. Each week, we have a group of 3-4 mentors host weekly hour and a half long practices teaching these students the fundamentals they need to play for their respective highschool teams. At the end of our program, we will give these students a campus tour of Northeastern University and host a tournament among them at Northestern’s basketball facilities!
